Nature environment There is 'four big  sea ' in China, which are Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, East China Sea and South China Sea. The total area of fishing ground is about 15,000,000 kilometer. Fishing ground: Fishing ground is the site for fishing. China has developed two kinds of fishing ground, which is coastal & inshore fishing ground and oversea fishing ground. Important coastal & inshore fishing ground ( from north to south of China): Bohai gulf fishing ground, Lusi fishing ground, Changjiang Estuary fishing ground, Zhoushan fishing ground, Mindong (east of Fujian province) fishing ground. Oversea fishing ground: The fishing grounds are distant sea of Zhoushan, Fujian, and Guangdong. Fishery Resources: In China the fishery Resources is plenty. The number of fish is over 1500 species. Some important economical species are: Fish: Black scraper (Navodon modestus), Butterfishes(Stromateidae), Chinese herring (Ilisha elongata), Chub mackerel (Pneumatophorus japonicus), Cod fishes (Gadidae),   Conger pike (Muraenesox cinereus), Hairtail(Trichiurus haumela), Golden thread (Nemipterus virgatus), Left-eyed flounders (Bothidae), Right-eyed flounders (Pleuronectidae), Porgy (Pagrosomus major), Red snapper (Lutianidae), Tunny (Thunnus thynnus), Scad (Priacanthus boops), Pomfret (Stromateoides argenteus), Yellow roakers (Pseudosciaena).
